Financing for real estate purchases in Mexico by foreign (U.S.) buyers is relatively new, and a short time ago, foreign buyers had no option other than to purchase their real estate with 100% cash. Through the development and maturation of cross-border financing, many beneficial financing options are now available. These should at least be investigated to determine how best to optimize your purchase of Mexico real estate within your overall financial plan and investment portfolio.
We do not offer “cookie-cutter” loan programs. Our clients tend to have specialized needs or more complex investment portfolios, so each of our loans is tailored to complement their specific goals and objectives. However in general terms, we are able to offer up to 100% financing of the property value, and at interest rates that are similar to jumbo loan products offered through a bank in the Unites States. Additionally, various payment options may be considered to match cash flow, including interest-only and quarterly payments, as well as balloon payments to coincide with a future liquidity event. We are not only limited to financing fully built-out residences, but can also accommodate construction financing for those who choose to build their own resort home.
This is quite different than what you will find offered from other cross-border lenders.
